Owens & Minor invites the healthcare community to view the recording of this continuing education webinar: Breaking Through Myths about COVID-19 Vaccinations: Strategies to Foster Transparent and Evidence-Based Communications with Patients and Healthcare Providers.
This webinar program will review the important caveats associated with the recent FDA Emergency Use Authorization Process for COVID-19 vaccines and the healthcare professionals’ role in interpreting vaccine safety and efficacy information regarding vaccines. The webinar will also discuss how to address frequently asked questions about COVID-19 vaccinations based on current data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration, and ongoing vaccine clinical trials. Finally, the program will review the necessary steps for healthcare providers and healthcare supply chain professionals to take to ensure that their practices are “vaccine-ready” for the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine once it is available.

The President and CEO of Community Health Associates, LLC, Dr. Hudson Garrett has a faculty appointment as an adjunct assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is a frequent international lecturer in the areas of infectious diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and infection prevention and control. He is board-certified in Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control. Dr. Garrett is also a member of OSAP/DANB Infection Control Certificate and Certification Steering Commission (ICCCSC).
