QSight Kanban

This year, we made managing consumables considerably easier with the launch of QSight Kanban, a two-bin inventory management solution. QSight Kanban uses two bins, one behind the other to store products. When the front bin is emptied, you place it on top of the rack and pull the other one forward. The empty bins are scanned, which automatically triggers an order of the depleted products. QSight Kanban takes the guess work out of your inventory consumables, enabling products to be replaced quickly. The results are lower costs, the appropriate amount of inventory on hand, and the reassurance that you will the right product when needed.

QSight Barcode

New Barcode Logic

A significant QSight improvement made in 2023 was expanding our barcode scanning capabilities. More specifically, we improved the accuracy of data capture by upgrading our data processing technology, enabling QSight to read more complex GSI, HBCC, 2D, or linear barcodes more effortlessly. This capability makes it possible to spend less time manually entering information and reduces the risks of barcode errors and more time on other important tasks.

Vendor-Owned Item Tracking Feature

A vendor-owned product tracking feature has been added to track the trays and totes that are on site but on loan from manufacturers. This straightforward tracking feature simply flags a product. Once this occurs, you can track it, instantly add or remove it from inventory, and so much more. If you haven’t already enabled this feature, contact the QSight Support team to request to activate theLoaned Product Tracking feature..

Hospital Technology

Tissue Card Returns

Another new feature we added enables you to easily and seamlessly notify manufacturers of tissue implant usage by email. All you need to do is assign an email address for any tissue manufacturers that require notification when items are used. With this simple feature, we’ve provided an automated way for you to comply with the Joint Commission’s tissue card return regulations. It’s one more way that QSight performs a needed task so you don’t have to, saving you time and effort. To get access to this feature, reach out to the QSight Support team and request that the “Tissue Card Return” scheduled feature be activated for your department or hospital.

2023 was a busy year for us, with a lot of enhancements that improved your experience with QSight. Next year promises to be even better and we are excited to show you the things we’re working on.
