- Promoting Environmental Stewardship
- Caring for Our Customers & Communities
- Operating Responsibly
- Empowering Our Teammates
Since publishing our first ESG report in 2021, Owens & Minor has made progress in factoring ESG considerations into our strategic decision-making across the company. In 2023, we achieved several new ESG milestones, including:
- Completing our first 2023 Climate Resilience Plan for operational continuity
- Increasing transparency around our environmental footprint in our first-ever report to CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), the global disclosure system for environmental reporting
- Advancing our logistics climate mitigation strategies by improving fuel efficiency in our Products & Healthcare Services (P&HS) distribution fleet, reducing engine idle time by nearly half for vehicles participating in an Apria pilot program and developing plans to expand our Apria electric vehicle (EV) initiative
- Making significant progress in ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainability across our procurement processes and supplier relationships
- Launching the P&HS Innovation Tournament, which leverages teammate creativity to solve challenges facing the company through new or improved technology to better serve our customers
- Supporting waterway stewardship via The Owens & Minor Foundation’s funding of organizations such as the James River Association, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Save the Sound and FRIENDS of Great Salt Lake
As Owens & Minor navigates the ever-evolving healthcare landscape, we remain committed to driving positive outcomes for our stakeholders and promoting a culture of integrity, excellence, and accountability.
